Parts of the Radford Estate are put up for sale
We understand that Radford Castle (pictured right, top), together with the road and Radford Quarry was sold in 2020 to a private individual and that a planning application has been submitted to turn it into a "romantic" holiday cottage, together with a pontoon on Hooe Lake. St Keverne's Quay and the Armoury (pictured right bottom, during the early part of the 20th century) are still on a list of properties for sale by Plymouth City Council.
These Listed buildings are the last remaining parts of the Radford Estate that the public have access to If you wish to make your feelings know about this possible sale, please contact your City Councillor or e-mail Plymouth City Council through its website at:

Councillor Bill Wakeham, a Plymouth City Councillor for Radford Ward, met and toured the Park with representatives of the Arboretum, Friends of Radford Woods and other users, on July 5th, 2021, to discuss new tree planting in the Arboretum.

The following trees were planted by Plymouth City Council in November 2021: Arbutus Unedo (Strawberry Tree), Catalpa bignonioides (Indian Bean Tree), Cercis Siliquastrum (Judas Tree), Euonymus europaeus (Spindle Tree), Prunus avium (Wild cherry/gean) Taxus baccata (Yew).
